Tracking is explicit. Reading a flag does not emit an exposure.

client.identify("user_123", { plan: "pro" });
const receipt = client.track("checkout_started", { productId: "p1" });
await receipt.persisted;
await client.flush();

track returns a TrackReceipt immediately: eventId, queued, and a persisted promise. queued: false means the client refused the event (for example it has not been started). flush() waits until the batch is accepted or the timeout expires.

The ingestion API answers 202 with acceptedIds, duplicateIds, and rejected. Accepted means the event is stored.

Limits on the API: 100 events per batch, 256 KiB per batch, 32 KiB per event. A larger payload returns 413. A burst past the default window (60 ingestion requests per 60 seconds) returns 429 with Retry-After.
